My name is Ioanna Papachristou.
I hold two degrees (BA): Spanish Language and Literature and Archaeology and History of Art (National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Université Paris 1 Panthéon - Sorbonne and Universidad de Valladolid). I have completed postgraduate studies (MA) in the field of Cultural Heritage Management and Promotion of Monuments and Archaeological Sites.
I am a certified examiner of all levels of the DELE Diplomas and have been preparing my students since 2019 for their successful participation in the DELE and ΚΠγ exams.
Since childhood, my passion has been to study foreign languages, to travel and to try to see the world through the eyes of other people and cultures. I speak Spanish, French and English, and I feel deeply connected to each of these three languages. For me, learning a language is much more than memorizing words and structuring them into complete meanings. Language allows us to observe how other cultures make sense of the world. It suggests alternative realities to us. Learning a language gives us a different way of "looking" at the world and people.
I have many years of experience in teaching adult learners, adapting the lesson to the needs and skills of each of them. I feel confident about my students, but also excited, seeing the fruits of our joint effort and the impressive results they achieve, both in formal qualifications and in substantive knowledge. My lesson is creative, enjoyable but also demanding, when necessary, and is governed by responsibility for the goals that have been set.
Verbum , which in Latin means "Word" and "Logos", is my personal source of inspiration for teaching and language study, which combines knowledge of all aspects of Spanish-speaking culture with the practical application of language, in a holistic approach.
Together we can turn language learning into an exciting experience of communication, sharing and discovery!
